3rd party developers can now use(with your permission of course!) data in your inbox to develop all sorts of apps. As we have huge amounts of information stored in our in-boxes, the brave among us could potentially share it with independent developers to have value-added services built on top of their Gmail Inbox.
I knew Google was pushing for data liberation but this is incredible...imagine opening up your propriety application data to all 3rd parties(including competitors) to exploit. Talk about having belief in your abilities!

ReplyDeleteThey have kind of solved the "login/password" privacy issue by google mediating in between the gmail account and the 3rd party application.
ReplyDeleteBut of course the larger issue of our "private" data remains unsolved.
